One Box EMI test Receiver solution

new approach for Conducted Emission Measurement

World’s First Dual FFT-based Modal EMI Receiver, the EMSCOPE, is developed by Emzer and is a cutting-edge instrument for EMI Measurements. The EMCSCOPE combines an EMI test Receiver with a 16-A single-phase dual port V-network LISN (Line Impedance Stabilization Network) and a Transient Limiter.

The EMSCOPE has been developed and manufactured for compliance with CISPR 16-1-1 and CISPR 16-1-2

This one Box EMI Test Receiver solution integrates the peak, quasi-peak and average detectors fully compliant to CISPR 16-1-1 and can be run in parallel and real time and therefore considerably reducing the measurement time compared to other solutions.

Modal Measurements, a new approach for conducted emissions

During a typical, standard EMI Measurement approach only Line and Neutral are measured and it is not possible to determine the source of the noise. The standard measurement does not give enough information to help designing a power line filter. And on top: it is time consuming (when analog receivers are used) and cost consuming.

The groundbreaking EMSCOPE incorporates Modal Measurement: Simultaneously measure common and differential mode with three detectors, allowing;

  • Detect the conducted noise source
  • Better characterization of DUT (Device Under Test)
  • Minimize the efforts to pass EMC tests

The EMSCOPE can be connected to LAN using the supplied optical fiber and can be remotely controlled using a friendly web-based application for which no license is required and updates are free.
